Erin is licensed both in Georgia and Alabama. She offers telehealth appointments for clients anywhere within these states, as well as in-person sessions at her office in Sharpsburg, GA (located inside the Alive Functional Wellness Collaborative).
Erin has a passion for walking alongside couples to help them overcome challenges in communication and connection, and to grow their marriage into an intimate covenant relationship. She is trained in the Gottman Method and incorporates this approach into her work with couples. She is also a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator.
Erin enjoys working with individuals addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, trauma/PTSD, spiritual concerns, and life transitions. Erin is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapy, an extensively researched, structured therapeutic approach that uses bilateral stimulation alongside a guided focus on past experiences to help the brain heal from distressing experiences and unresolved trauma.
As a therapist, Erin provides a safe space for authentic conversation, and works as a collaborative partner with her clients to explore their unique stories, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and increase life and relationship skills that will empower clients to thrive. She is gentle and compassionate while challenging people toward positive change to help them live more in line with their values and goals. Erin prioritizes integrating evidence-based mental health practices with Scriptural truth to guide clients toward growth and healing. She employs a variety of modalities in therapy, including Narrative Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Outside of her professional work, Erin loves family time with her husband John and their three kids, and taking care of their goats, chickens, and English Mastiff, Stella. She enjoys time outdoors, traveling, reading, and is always taking on some creative endeavor.
